Loving family located in Reading close to the University are seeking a warm and nurturing nanny to care for their friendly 8-year-old boy during term time starting as soon as possible. Their son is a bright and energetic child who happens to have Autism. He attends mainstream school and thrives with support and understanding.
Hours – Monday and Friday from 1pm to 4pm
Additional Hours available – Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 3.15pm to 4.15pm
Flexibility – Some ad hoc hours during the holidays
Duties – No cooking or cleaning involved; primary focus will be on caring for their son and ensuring his safety, happiness, and well-being and light tidying if time allows.
Whilst formal qualifications are not necessary, they are seeking someone who can connect with children and has an affinity for caring for them. Someone who is calming, patient and able to provide one to one attention. A love for the outdoors and nature is a plus as their son enjoys playing outside and going to the park.
The salary for this position is £15/hr gross.
Unfortunately, a nanny with their own child would not be suitable for this role.
A driver is not necessary as everything is within walking distance of the home but someone who is comfortable with walking as the role does include school picks ups.

Family in Shinfield are looking for a warm, reliable, responsible nanny. This position is starting in mid - May 2024, however the family are willing to wait for the right person.
An important note - this position may involve medical procedures administered to the eldest son (aged 3) relating to Type 1 Diabetes (pump management and injections - full training will be provided) so someone who is comfortable with this aspect of the role is imperative.
The position will involve looking after an active, happy, and smiley 3-year-old boy and a newborn. The family do have a nanny who you will be working alongside, however, their eldest child has recently been diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes and they are looking for assistance in navigating this new change to their lives. This position is initially for six months to a year.
Normal working hours are;
07.45am – 3.45pm Tuesday
07.45am – 3.45pm Thursday
09.00am – 1.00pm - Saturday mornings
Ideally, they are looking for someone with flexibility as there may be some evening and overnight shifts.
Duties will include usual nursery duties, nursery drop offs, light housekeeping (this would be helping with the little boys’ laundry, tidying up, cleaning surfaces after use), healthy dinner preparation and serving and ensuring that both children are cared for, safe and happy through appropriately meeting their needs.
Qualifications, a love of children and some childcare experience would be preferred.
This is a great opportunity for someone who has worked in nurseries and would love to become a nanny.
The salary for this position is up to £16.00 per hour gross depending on experience and a driver is necessary with their own car.
Unfortunately, a nanny with their own child would not be considered for this position.
There are 2 small, friendly dogs within the home, so someone comfortable around dogs and willing to take them for short walks is necessary.
The family travel abroad so are looking for someone who would be able to be flexible and travel with them.

Busy and caring family in Wokingham Town Centre are looking for some assistance on Fridays (and Mondays if available) during term time only. The hours are 7:30 am - 9:30 am (with the potential for ad hoc hours during the week). This position is starting as soon as possible but the family are willing to wait for the right candidate.
